15 Up-And-Coming Double Umbrella Stroller Bloggers You Need To Follow

Choosing a Double Umbrella Stroller

It is important to think about your family's priorities and needs when choosing a double stroller. This will help streamline your options and allow you to concentrate on the essential features.

The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 double umbrella stroller is a well-made, upscale product that folds down easily. It has large canopies as well as a huge storage bin and is easy to move around.

Lightweight

The top double umbrella strollers are compact and lightweight, yet offer a lot. They aren't as heavy as a standard stroller or jogger and they're typically smaller when folded, too. They lack the bells and whistles that you'll find on larger strollers, however they often provide large canopies with ample storage space, and reclined seats.

Many families choose a lightweight double umbrella stroller because it's a great stroller for traveling. It's easy to fold and fits in the majority of trunks and airline carry-on bags, and is generally an excellent choice for getting around tight doorways and crowded sidewalks. It's also cheaper than the "travel stroller" with more features you could use on a daily basis.

Some of the best double strollers, such as the UPPAbaby G-Link 2 have features that aren't found on lighter options. This double umbrella stroller includes hanging storage pockets and trays inside each seat for kids' toys and snacks as well as two cup holders for parents. The streamlined design makes this double umbrella stroller among the slimmest on the market. It also has an extra wide canopy to safeguard both seats.

Other options that are lightweight like the Joovy Kooper X2, offer more bells and whistles than one would expect from a  double stroller  umbrella. It also offers the ability to provide a more comfortable ride for both children due to the padded seats and more reclined seat. The more features you choose the more weighty the stroller. Also, due to the way that strollers can be closed and opened you'll need to be careful not to let your little fingers catch on frames or hinges, especially if your child is sitting in either seat.

Compact

The smallest double umbrella strollers that fold are easy to maneuver and fit in tight spaces. They're an excellent choice for parents who plan to use their stroller often on the sidewalks, in shopping centers, or to get around tourist attractions such as the zoo, aquarium or museums. These compact strollers that are lightweight can also be great to commute in or as a substitute for an extra heavy, features-packed stroller while traveling.

There are two types of double umbrellas that are lightweight: those with very few features, and those that provide numerous convenience and comfort features in addition to their small size and light weight. Some of the better examples are large pop-out canopies with SPF 50 and peekaboo windows and cushioned seats, 5-point safety harnesses in both seating areas as well as reclining seats and adjustable leg rests. Other crucial aspects to take into consideration are whether or not you require a tray for your child and car seat attachment capabilities and the amount of storage space each seat offers.

The Delta Children LX Double Umbrella provides a lightweight, low-cost umbrella that is very affordable. The stroller weighs only 18 pounds, comes with an excellent carrying strap and can be put in the trunk of your vehicle or front hall closet. Its front wheels are precise and swivel for a smoother ride and easier steering. Another option to consider is the brand new Kinderwagon Hop, a super narrow tandem umbrella stroller that's also lightweight and easy to maneuver through doorways. The model was out of production for a couple of decades but is returning and worth checking out. It also has a larger three-panel canopy to provide better sun protection than the less-than-perfect models in this review.

Easy to Fold

The most basic umbrella strollers fold up like umbrellas and weigh less than other kinds. They are simple to carry, lift and stow, making them ideal for those times when you don't want to bring your full-size pram for whatever reason (traveling by plane, touring in a foreign country, or visiting grandma). These strollers are typically less feature-rich than full-featured models, but they will offer the basics, such as storage and a sun canopy.

The latest version of the UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is lighter and narrower than its predecessor, and has an improved front wheel design that enhances the maneuverability and pushability. It's a great choice for a double travel stroller--and it's Disney-approved!

A double tri-folded stroller, such as the Joovy Kooper X2 offers all the convenience and comfort of an umbrella stroller within a body similar to a large-sized stroller. This kind of stroller is quickly replacing the standard double umbrella, and may be your best choice if you need a versatile lightweight stroller for travel.

The majority of double umbrella strollers that we recommend are side-by-side models. The exception is the Kinderwagon Hop, a tandem umbrella stroller that's extremely light and easy to fold (though it's also a bit small in width). This is a great option for those looking for a simple budget double umbrella stroller you can easily put in your trunk for short trips. It even comes with two hanging storage bags on the backs of each seat and cup holders for parents. It's so bare bones that it's unlikely to help your children get through an airport without getting them cranky, but it will help make the journey more comfortable.

Comfortable Seats

Most umbrella strollers aren't equipped with many bells and whistles since they're designed with one purpose: to get two children from one place to the other. They usually come with comfortable, spacious seats, but they don't have recline options or all terrain wheels.

The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 is the only exception. It is a small and light double umbrella stroller with two seats that weigh just 18 lbs. This makes it a fantastic choice for travelers. It has a huge canopy with three panels that shields children from the sun. Both seats offer plenty of storage, but not like some of our top picks. It has 5-point safety belts on both seats, and a peek-a-boo window in the canopy.

The G-Link does not have the bellybar or snack tray we'd love to see on our top choices. But those features aren’t essential for an umbrella stroller. Like any umbrella stroller it must be handled with care to avoid fingers getting trapped in the hinges and mechanisms.

The seats in double umbrella strollers are typically side by side however, there are a few models that are inline (one seat behind the other). Inline models are easier to maneuver in doorways than side-byside models, but they usually have a difference between seating features which could cause your kids to fight over who gets the better seat. This issue was fairly equally split among our previous testers and it comes down to the individual preference.

Safety

Your child's safety is a primary consideration when selecting a stroller and the design of a double umbrella stroller can make or break the quality of its operation. Some models come close to offering the same level safety as larger double strollers. These strollers usually have 5-point harnesses, calf and foot rests for children, and an extendable UPF 50+ sun visor. They are also usually narrower and lighter than other double umbrella strollers, making them easier to maneuver through tight spaces like airports or city streets.

Certain models, such as the Kinderwagon Hop are side-byside and are easy to push in tight spaces. This stroller is an excellent choice for parents who are traveling with their children and need a quick and convenient way to get around. It's also small enough to fit comfortably into the trunk or in a storage space.

Another model worth considering is the UPPAbaby G-Link 2, which is among the lightest double umbrella strollers we have tested. It is a robust design for an umbrella-style stroller and features large, easy-to-access storage basket, reclining seats, and a peek-aboo window. The seat also holds 35 lbs and meets Disney stroller dimensions.

Other models, such as the Jeep PowerGlide Double Stroller, may be less basic in design and do not include as many features. These strollers are lightweight and can be used as backups or even for occasional travel. These strollers are also cheaper than renting one for a whole vacation or for a trip. They are also easy to lift, carry and fold.
